A Millinery Bridal Shower

We had a wonderful time last month teaching a group of very excited hens all about the art of Millinery, with Milliner Katherine Elizabeth.

We decorated the room with vintage trinkets, ribbons and bunting then awaited the arrival of the bride-to-be and her 15 sparkly hens! We always love the reaction of a group of friends when they enter the room!

After the girls had settled down we handed them a glass of bubbly before Katherine explained how they could create a variety of different headpieces; teaching them some of her favorite techniques and methods. Everyone was guided through the making process to ensure they all completed their pieces and had them fitted. Millinery is a fantastic art form as the hats evolve over time, often you produce something totally different to where you first started.

The girls seemed to have a lovely time and here is a little thank you email that came through:

"Hi Katherine and team,

Thank you for putting on such a fabulous bridal show for Becky's hen do last week. The room looked stunning and it was great to be taken through all the basic millinery techniques and tricks of the trade! The glass of champagne and cakes were a lovely touch and so fun that we all got taken through the process of creating our very own hats... and even left wearing them! It was the perfect activity to start off the evening’s celebrations and a good choice when you have a variety of ages and interests.

Would definitely book again, thank you!
